Romania has a multitude of mountain resorts that offer slopes from novice to challenging. The first two months of the year are the favorite among winter sports lovers. The highest ski point in Romania is located at 6,600 ft. above the sea level.
Rasnov is nowadays the winter sports capital of Romania, it has the infrastructure requested by the International Ski Federation, being the only one in Romania and in the South-East Europe. The complex included at first three trampolines of construction point (point K) at 15, 35 and 64 meters. With an artificial snow and an wetting device, and with artificial surface and natural grass in the landing area, the trampolines can be used all over the year. More than that, nearby the trampolines the City Hall of Rasnov has equipped an Olympic biathlon basis, with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism. In Rasnov you can practice ski jumping, biathlon, cross country skiing and Nordic Combined sports (ski jumping and cross country skiing).
